Inta Paula Briņķe (2003) is a passionate and ambitious young flutist from Latvia, devoted to performance, education, and continuous artistic growth. Her musical journey began at the age of six at the Ulbroka Music and Art School under Daina Treimane. She continued her studies at Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music Secondary School with Andis Klučnieks and Liene Denisjuka-Straupe, and is currently pursuing higher education at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music with Dace Bičkovska. Through the Erasmus+ exchange program, she is further refining her craft at The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, studying with Sarah Ouakrat and benefiting from the mentorship of renowned flutists such as Jeroen Bron, Joséphine Olech, and Bénédicte Zeitoun.
A committed performer with a growing international presence, Inta has participated in solo competitions in Latvia, Slovakia, Italy, and Lithuania. She has been recognized by the Latvian Ministry of Culture for her excellence in performance. In 2024 she received a special jury prize at the Latvian Young Flutist competition for her interpretation of contemporary works and in 2025 an Outstanding Laureate award in the World's Best Musicians competition.
Her artistic dedication extends beyond the stage. In 2024, she was selected for the prestigious Penthesilea Academy in Austria, where she explored orchestral repertoire and holistic approaches such as the Wim Hof Method. She worked with leading musicians including Karin Bonelli (Vienna Philharmonic) and Gudrun Hinze (Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra), refining her skills and deepening her stage presence.
Inta performs actively across Europe, with solo appearances in Latvia and the Netherlands. In 2025, she opened Huntenkunst - a major international art event in the Netherlands - bringing latvian music to a wide and diverse audience. Her musical versatility was further highlighted when she won an audition to join the Jong Metropole Orchestra 2025, where classical and jazz worlds converge.
Equally passionate about education, Inta is a dedicated flute teacher whose students have achieved remarkable success. Notably, her student Ramona Balkāne earned second prize at the VII International Wind Instrument Performance Competition “Naujene WIND 2024” - a testament to Inta’s thoughtful mentorship and pedagogical approach.
Beyond the concert hall and classroom, Inta actively shares her musical journey through social media, inspiring others and promoting classical music with creativity and authenticity. You can follow her on Instagram (@inta.zelts, @flufluflute), TikTok (@inta.zelts), and Facebook (@IntaBrinke).
What sets Inta apart is not only her skill or growing list of achievements, but the thoughtful, modern approach she brings to her work. She views artistic development as inseparable from personal well-being, and seeks out environments that nurture both. Whether through high-level performance, mindful practice, or open communication with audiences, she leads with intention and integrity.
As she continues to grow, Inta Paula Briņķe brings with her not only a beautiful sound, but a bold and evolving vision of what it means to be a 21st-century artist.
